Sofía López Casarrubias graduated in December 2013 from the Faculty of Law of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); during her bachelor's degree, she studied at the Law School of King´s College London for a semester abroad. Furthermore she took a course in Environmental Law and Governance and obtained a Diploma by the Centro de Estudios Jurídicos y Ambientales.
Before joining the firm, she did her social service at the Central Bank of Mexico where she developed her knowledge in Constitutional Law. At the firm she has shown great interest and participated in matters regarding environmental impact, natural resources, indigenous groups, liability, inspection visits, amparo trials and administrative proceedings.
Currently she is specializing on Human Rights at the Postgraduate Division of the UNAM. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has an intermediate level in French.
